OK, my right wing brethren and sistren, if Obama came to us and publicly apologized, sincerely, or at least a real good fake, and promised to stop pursuing socialism, would we accept his apology and give him a chance to set things right if he also let me write the legislation the rest of his term(s)?

I don't believe he would do that and if someone looking like him did, I'd need to see some ID.
Like a birth certificate or a passport.

That's how you'd know he was an impostor - he'd show you a birth certificate.

No way in hell I could take anything he ever says as sincere, he's got a whole party still lapping up his spoon fed bs from his puppet masters..They are using him to get some of their programs in place, then Hillary will run against him in 12. The GOP has no one showing any capability of stopping this run away train.

What do you mean by 'give him a chance'? What would we be agreeing to give up? Because, as I see it, if he just decided to say such things without asking us for some consideration in return, we wouldn't exactly be in a position to say, 'No, you can't do that - you can't stop pursuing socialism.'

I would prefer he ask for forgiveness. I would forgive him but still not trust him.

Oh, so he agrees to give up his agendas and let you right the script, if we agree to support the same?
Sure, I can't imagine you'd do a worse job of steering the ship. You may or may not be up to the task, but at least you'd have the right destination in mind.

Whether or not you get to write legislation or not - and I strongly suspect it's a lot harder than you suspect - Obama's credibility with me is dropping to near zero. There's almost no resemblance between candidate Obama and President Obama anymore. It's a fairly safe bet that any apology would be insincere and any promise would be rescinded in the name of expediency.

I would hope so. That would lend itself to the goal; being less of it.

See, it would have to be someone impersonating him apologizing - because the poster didn't believe Pres. Obama would apologize. Like an imposter kind of thing.
What were you thinking?
