we should get one set up soon. does everyone do yahoo? or prefer ESPN? i usually do yahoo but i'm flexible.

also, i prefer live drafts but if people can't get on during the evenings and weekends (since at work is not an option!) then that's understandable.

I am in again, if there is no league within the next two weeks, I will create one.

I'm seeing evening preference and weekend preference. Out of those, I'd say Sunday evening is probably the least likely time for someone to be busy. Anyone have a problem with that? :shrug:

Sunday 16 Aug 8pm draft time. If there is overwhelming whining then I will change. I am not sure I can be there (travel to Texas that day, hope to be in hotel on time...) so if one other states they can't make it, not enough.....

Jr's football practices are M-Tu-W-F. So Th and w/e are ok for me

Monday would work better for me, Wednesdays I'm usually out til 8 or 9 (the one day during the week I'm typically out).

I could also do any day of the week at any time next week (August 23-29). I just need to know a date soon so that I may take off.

i saw the date set was the 29th (probably just to push it off). I'd rather it before then since the 29th-30th are bad days for me and basically every evening is good. looks like we have 9 teams right now...anyone know someone who could be #10?

IMO if people don't post their scheds then they are expected to make the draft, or not complain when they miss it. Pretty simple.

BL said any day Aug 23-29, I can't do 29th and might have conflicts earlier that week too, SM can do Th (which would be the 27th) or weekends. The evening of the 27th probably works best for me, but since my schedule is mucked by travel from the 23rd-31st I don't wanna screw up everyone else's draft.

Hubby and I are fairly flexible so we just waiting on everyone else as well.
I would like to at least have it scheduled sooner rather than later though since I am the league manager of another group and I am delaying scheduling that draft until this one is scheduled so they are not the same date/time.

I can do whatever! Late evenings are best.

No so good for me. My guys didn't do crap.

I have 2 SOMD leagues and really don't remember which is which (can't access from work). All I know is I scored 2nd most points in 1 of the 2 leagues and LOST cuz the top scorer was my opponent, and did OK but lost in the other league cuz Cutler was my QB :mad:

Oh and go figure I went against Drew Brees in both leagues so I was bound to get annihilated anyway cuz he went insane against Detroit. :jameo:

Just noticed that the league was set to 4 teams in the playoffs. Considering we have 12 teams would it hurt to put 6 teams in the playoff's to make things more interesting? Otherwise, if an owner know's he's not going to make it into the final four by mid-season he'll just stop playing altogether.

I thought it would make things more fun for the group as a whole, spice things up at the end of the year and have a greater chance for an upset.

What does everyone think?

I'm in three other Yahoo leagues. Two of them have 6 teams in the playoffs. The final league is one I manage and I put the option of 8 teams in the playoffs. The manager can change this at any time as I just changed mine.

I'm starting to get annoyed by some of the dumb trade offers I'm getting. Almost every week I get an offer for one of my top players with 2 or 3 players offered in his place. Those 2 or 3 players have either done about as well as the other guys on my roster, or worse. So basically they want me to trade them a star for a bunch of crap that doesn't improve my team at all.

Seriously people, if you want me to give up a star then be prepared to give me something GOOD in return.
