I can't sew and need to find someone who can. I have curtains that I love for our bedroom window. We have a door leading to the backyard that has a window. I'd like to cover that window with a matching curtain. I guess the only option is to buy another curtain panel and have it "resized" to fit that window.
Where the heck to I take it to have this done? I live in Calvert but anywhere in somd or the Annapolis area is fine. TIA.

oh, for to have had that one semester in Home Ec class......
you can use a tape measure right? 1st figure out where the curtain rod will be and measure down to 2-3 inches below the trim of the door. Once you have the length you can:
1. buy a premade curtain to fit the measurement (most come in in standard size to fit a 35" window or longer length for drapes 72" to 84")
or
2. If you need it sewn take it to a cleaners that does tailoring. As long as it's a simple hem most will do it for you.

Yes, of course I can use a tape measure!
I'd love to buy a premade curtain but unfortunately, I'm being picky and want it to exactly match the cutains & bedding that we have. So I'll have to buy a regular sized panel and have both the length & width cut because they only come in one standard size.
