One of the nastiest wrecks of the year.

So this is how things look now.

Scott Speed is the leader, but he will have to pit very soon. The rest of the top 10 look like this: 18 - Busch, 14 - Stewart, 47 - Ambrose, 16 - Biffle, 42 - Montoya, 13 - Max Papis, 1 - Truex, 99 - Edwards, 33 - Bowyer.

The race is under a red flag on lap 63 of 90 after a violent crash involving Jeff Gordon, Sam Hornish and Jeff Burton. Andy Lally, Robby Gordon and Joey Logano also got damage from the wreck.

But notice how the roll cage in the center of the car, where the driver is, is fully intact. That's a good thing, the stronger roll cage and the energy absorbent panels on the side of the car did their job. End result, three drivers walk away, uninjured, from one of the scariest crashes imaginable.

Say what you want about this "Car of Tomorrow", it just saved Sam Hornish and Jeff Gordon's lives.

Red condition has been lifted, the race is back under caution.

Stewart is short on fuel (but I have a feeling that won't be the last caution), Busch is good.

However, there are storms on the horizon. Rain possibly 15-20 miles away.

Scott Speed has pitted, so move everyone else up a spot which will move Casey Mears to 10th.

Kyle Busch chose the outside on the restart, Stewart dives low and takes the lead. So move Stewart to 1st and move Kyle back to 2nd.

When I rule the world, I will ban on-board cameras.

Shrub has slipped to 4th, so move Ambrose to 2nd and Biffle to 3rd.

Caution.

Stewart still a few laps short even with this caution. Ambrose; the fuel looks good.

Andy Lally will get the wave around to rejoin the field and get his lap back.

18 to go, this will be a double file restart. This late in the race at a road course, this could be interesting. Stewart has opted to go with the inside line.

Carl Edwards passed Greg Biffle and Juan Montoya, so move JPM outside the top 5. Actually, Biffle held up Montoya and allowed Edwards to get around.
