Over the last few months I've been getting calls on my home phone from people who have received calls from my home number, many calls.

Understandably, most are pissed and one even said he has reported me.

Anyone experienced this or have any ideas what could be going on?

Got a bad neighbor? I had someone climb the pole and tap my line. Made tons of long distance calls, always on the line, I couldn't use my own line they were on so much. Phone company finally found the illegal tap.

Call the phone company and talk to them.

Could be someone playing a prank on you. Have you pissed anyone off lately? :lol: There is some service that allows you to make it appear that a call is coming from a different number. I'll try to get the info for you, can't remember the name.

One day, a friend of hubby's kept calling him. He was busy at work so he kept ignoring the calls. The friend was able to call hubby's cell back and make it appear that the call was coming from our house. Hubby answered, thinking it was me, but it was his friend. Same friend did it another day when hubby was home. He made it appear that the call was coming from hubby's boss, so hubby answered.

Have you asked what time of day these calls are being made? Is it possible someone has watched your routine and is in your house when you are not, does anything look out of sorts when you return home lately? :shrug:

Have you called the phone company to report this?

It allows someone to make calls displaying any phone number they'd like to. For example if I wanted to get my ex fired, I could put his phone # in there, make a phone call to his boss from my phone that would never be traced back to me, then tell his boss that my ex is banging the boss's wife. :killingme

Just got off the phone, looks like the Ex will be turning in his helmet & boots. :killingme

Just kidding, had I known about the site 5 years ago when I dumped his azz I may have done it then. I'll have to bookmark the site though. I feel like playing a joke on hubby. :yay: good info. I tend to do that anyway, enter either a 0 or nothing. Found that gets you to a person most of the time.
