Went to Walmart in California MD tonight expecting to get a brand new Wii.

Box is a little marked but nothing major. Open it up and everything looks fine until I get to the actual console. It had a lot of light scratching on it.

Connect everything up and the Wii remote is jumpy as hell and there are Mii characters already set up and some games downloaded to the Wii. Put in the disk and it fails. Turn off and back on then it fails again.

What the hell nintendo! Or was it walmart repackaging???

Didn't have the issue with Xbox 360 or PS3

Maybe so it was wrapped up like new and the serial numbers matched on box and console.

Looks like someone in Walmart was using it. I called Nintendo and they stated the Wii was sold as new yesterday when I bought it but shows network access since June of this year.
