BG's Computer (DELL XPS 1530) power connector broke in one of my classes last semester.. In thr process I also broke the bottom case cover.
I thought of returning it to Dell to get it repaired, called and it sounded like $$$.
I've repaired Desktops before, probably close to a hundred anyways, but I NEVER attempted a laptop.
Well, I can say now that it's done, MAYBE not a good idea to do it yourself.. a LOT of differences, the cables and connectors are VERY fragile, and if you don't have directions, doubt anyone could figure it out.
I had to uninstall every single component to include the motherboard, the screen, keyboard.. etc.. etc.. I'm glad she's not here, she would have FREAKED out when she saw her computer on the dining room table in 100 pieces.
BUT it's back together, everything seems to be working, I have the internet, the keyboard works, bluetooth.. wireless, the screen is on..
Yeah, I feel good!!
Not sure I remember all three blue LEDs being on at the same time on the front .. but it WORKS!!
