I am having a hell of a hard time finding either of these without the prongs being circular, or 90 degree angles.

I need one that is straight thru like you PS cable that goes to the strip.

I have a floor box in the hardwood floors, and its a PITA...

anyone have suggestions... I dont feel like having to cit and retip :|

That must be because you are looking for ones around/over 1000w capability. The ones with this much reserve power take more power to work, much like an electric clothes drier. You won't find any large UPS with a regular electric plug, if you do you probably should not use it because it can use more than a standard 15A outlet can provide and you will probably either blow a breaker in your house or catch it on fire if you over load the outlet.

actually you are way off....

i have put in 2500 ups rack mountable with a step downs transformer, that takes the regular plug...

therefore your right 15A is correct... but no, i have surge protectors that are the belkin low w and joules that still have the 90 degree and and circular plug
