My boss just showed me this. On occasion, when he forwards or replys to a message, the icon next to the message does not change to reflect that the message has been forwarded or replied to (blue vs red vs no arrows).
I've searched on line and on MS. Lots of people with a similar issue, but no fixes. The only thing that appears to be vaguely applicable is one note that the icons will eventually change, given time.
I've reset the view, and even blown away the profile and recreated it.
Anybody ever see this, or preferably, have a fix?

What is the version of the Exchange Server? Reason I ask is Exchange 2007 is extremely buggy and it could be the server is not sending the correct ACK back to the client - just a random thought...
We are thinking of ditching Exchange unless Exchange 2010 is light-years better than Exchange 2007.

As far as I know, Exchange 2003. I don't think they've upgraded the mail servers yet. Things in a large enterprise take longer to coordinate.

It could be Exchange not removing the server version after downloading to the client....

It works fine with a lot of upkeep. We have a guy in our shop who is an Active Directory Guru and most of the maintenance is done through scripting using Power Shell. We also have an issue where once a week the database rebuilds because it does not close properly after a backup. This is a known issue and the Exchange Development Team are working on a fix...
I would bet there are a few items happening behind the scenes at a lower level you may not be aware about. Me, I am far from an Exchange Administrator and I am just passing what I know along.
I know one of his gripes are some 'things' are now hard coded and cannot be modified - again, I do not know what these are as he takes care of it.
Exchange 2007 was a complete re-write from the bottom up, but using MS-SQL with known bugs. Exchange 2010 is suppose to be much better... the way it was explained to me is Exchange 2007 equates to the VISTA release of Windows and Exchange 2010 is the better Windows 7 release :lmao:
