I'm an animal lover, no question about that, but I'm on the fence about Vick. The guy did his time.

I have a hard time believing he's really sorry.... I know he's sorry he got caught and all the fallout that happened because of it.

Doing his time is one thing, it's the genuine remorse I need to be comfortable with.

I'm glad to hear Dick's won't be selling them. That actually takes courage.

I agree..but as has been posted on here, he didn't kill a human. I'm trying to look at the equity of all of it. There are people who've murdered people that are playing football, uh..until recently serving in the Senate, etc. That's where my issue is. I would NEVER buy an Eagles jersey anyway...well maybe to put under one of the litter boxes....

I understand the aspects of being for and against Vick at this point, but I think alot of people around the country are watching to see what's going to happen. I just think we have to continue to send a message that his kind of past behavior can't be tolerated. I did call Dick's and gave them my support. Thanks.

I think he at least deserves a second chance...we all do.

He has a second chance, he got out of jail. The dogs he killed didnt get a second chance. Both Vick and his brother are both misfits.

This is what a co-worker of mine said.....

I personally hope he breaks his neck this season and is a quadriplegic. That would be fair punishment as far as I'm concerned.

I guess my problem is this. When a non-celebrity, average Joe gets out of jail, they are lucky to find a min. wage job. They have to work their way back into society. So why should anyone, regardless of their crime, be allowed to walk out of jail and earn a million dollars right away?? To me it says, hey, as long as you can throw a ball or hit a home run, you can do whatever you want, you will still make money! Not exactly the role model I think parents want.

I disagree what Vick has done with his dogs. I feel that the courts have taken care of his punishment. He has served his time. Has he changed? Probably not. But he does deserve a second chance. Only time will tell.
I wish him the best and hope he has changed.

As far a Dicks? They can have the right to sell what they want or don't want. Vicks non supporters have the right to choose. Thats fine.
Dog fighting has been around for a long time. This is not something new. I just believe since he was more of a celebrity this has hit alot of homes and dog lovers.

I would be on the fence if he only bankrolled the operation and had no clue what was going on. Yet, he put his hands on those dogs and killed them with extreme measures and not only tortured the other dogs in his kennel but put his own family dogs in the ring as well. I'm sorry but that is just demented! The guy doing his time doesn't freaking matter!

He has shown no true remorse except for getting caught in the first place. He's sorry he got caught but not sorry for what he has done to those dogs!
