Quite happy with my weekend project. Replaced 4 old luan hollow core doors with new six panel molded doors. Since the house was built in 1956 or so, no opening is still straight. Every one had to be customized for its opening. Used straight blanks, so I had to do the hinges and drill for the locksets.

Each one needed to be cut down, and three needed to be trimmed for width also. One thing that made it easier was this tool.

Literally, takes about 20 minutes per door, and most of that is chiseling out the recess for the latchplate. AS close to foolproof as possible. The hole saws are easy to clear the plugs out. Also handy is the jig for the hinges.

:yay: Our house was built in 1979, and last year we replaced all of our luan doors with 6-panels. It makes a HUGE difference!!
