Is there any place that will recycle an old computer around LP city? The one I have is so old, the schools have better ones, so it's not even worth donating it anywhere. But it is ok for kids to play games on. That's what I've been using it for but someone gave us another one, so....just trying to get rid of the old one without putting it in the dumpster. Thanks in advance....
Got the specs? That might entice someone to take it off your hands for you.

I am almost positive that Dell and HP take old computers for recycling. Check their websites. I know it's not local but that is the only thought I have and there is also Smartco as the poster before me mentioned.

The transfer station on St. Andrews has an electronics recycling trailer to toss stuff in.

That trailer has been full to overflowing for months. They haven't been able to renew the contract to get it emptied.

Take it to Best Buy. Give them $10 for the case, keyboard, & mouse and $10 for the monitor, and they'll give you two $10 gift cards in return, and send it off for recycling. Very nice if you're planning to buy something there anyway. Or, better yet, wipe the Windows crap away and install a version of Linux and keep it.
