We have what we believe to be an antique Claw Foot Tub by Kohler that says K-100 and slope back - does anyone know where you can look up this type of information found on the tub? (We tried Google searches already)
Can also look for the serial number. It's a red tub and in pretty good condition, so we are going to sell it, but have no idea of its age, value, etc.? Thanks for any help you can provide.

from what I found doing a search for "Kohler K-100 bathtub", I don't think it is antique. It is however quite an expensive tub new so it should have fair value used.

That's what I was thinking...red was a flag.
Almost $4K :faint:

Yeah $4k for a bath tub !? and it doesn't even have any jets or a heater LOL
Looks like this used model may fetch $1-2k if the right buyer is found ..... how many people are looking for a claw foot tub? Not many I'd bet. Glad to at least know the value. I was searching on terms too specific so that must be why I didn't get the results - thanks for the help !

I happen to be one and have one already picked out. Hope you can find a buyer in your area.
Buying an REO (bank-owned) home. Victorian style. Can't wait to yank the jet tub out and replace with clawfoot tub.

Thanks - great that you found one you like ! They can get pretty pricey, depends on the brand, but when I was looking online I saw some nice ones for under $2k that were new.

Kohler still makes the tub....
KOHLER: K-100: Birthday Bath®, 6': Baths: Bathing: Bathroom (http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?from=thumb&frm=null&module=Baths&item=202&prod_num=100§ion=2&category=10&resultPage=0--24511380)
I would call a local supply house and ask for a list price. I recall seeing Lowes and Home De-Pot having these on display a while ago. They should be able to give you a price.
You can try listing it locally or ebay. But def state that it is local p/u only, unless you really want to ship something that weighs over 400#.

Donate it to the Habitat ReStore. Easier than selling and you get it gone NOW, not 6 months from now.

Yes, I found a good deal, which I need a lot of good deals right now for the home wasn't taken care of and sat empty for two years. I'll be busy but it'll be fun fixing it up.

It's not mine alone, and the other person wants to sell it, so that's not an option.

I've got an antique clawfoot out at my farmhouse in WV, and I see them all the time in the local want adds for anywhere from $75 to $300 depending on condition. Ours needs to be pulled out and re-enameled at some point.

Those tubs at that price are not the same as the Kohler brand/model we have, and the condition of the one we have is very good also - I was told the tub is red because it came from a race car driver's home. So I guess there are tubs in every price range.
