I got this ad though freecycle..very sad..
We have 8 lab puppies (1.5 wks old) - sadly, the mother passed away shortly after having them. We are bottle feeding them and have made a makeshift incubator out of a laundry basket, heating pad, and puppy pads but they are quickly outgrowing it, so we are hoping someone has a kennel we can borrow or keep that will hold 8 growing lab puppies for another 7 weeks or so. Also, the price of the puppy formula is out of this world, especially with the demand of these lil' cuties - so if anyone has some sitting around not being used, it would sure help us out.
Thank you,
Pam

So I wonder how the lab got bred in the first place. :eyebrow: Now she can't take care of the puppies on her own because she can't afford it, or doesn't want to afford it? :eyebrow: So she wants all these donations and then what will she do with the puppies? Sell them? :eyebrow:
Sounds to me like someone shouldn't be breeding dogs if she can't afford to take care of them.

Pam is a good friend. She is not a breeder and is not looking to make profit, just trying to make sure the pups survive.

I hope she knows how to care for them properly.

Hopefully she will get the 8 pups fixed before finding them homes so they don't breed...

I used to raise orphan pups years ago when I was volunteering with Montgomery County Humane Society.

So was it her dog that got pregnant?

Best place to buy Esbilac at the best price around... ( same place I buy all my wildlife formulas)
Chris Squirrel Store
5 pounds of Esbilac (http://www.squirrelsandmore.com/category/1411/milk-replacers.htm)...$49.95!:howdy:
I guess an important part of pet ownership is that if you can afford a pregnant dog, you can afford to care for the puppies, no matter what.
Anyone know how the mother died?
