OK, well, just as a general guideline, what should pink be, 20-40%? I'm thinking about 30 would be right. No more than 10% white, maybe only 5%, only 5% terra (there is a war on terra, btw) maybe 30% reds, 30% yellows?

See, I would vote for only about 10-15% pink (and most of those the Neon Rose). Then Reds (25%), yellows (20%), and whites (10%). I really like the Terracotta too (10-15%). How come you have them rated so low and what's the war? I think my very favorite is the Scarlet with the Dark Center!! Fill in the rest with that one - it's in a league of its own!
Remember, you asked!! :buddies:

Yes, I did ask! My customer has several people in the food chain as far as opinions on colors go. Terra is a bit close to pastels in most peoples books.
Pastels are on the outs last couple of years. :buddies:

I really dislike the terra cotta. :lol: And I'm not too fond of the reds. I like the pinks the best, then white, then yellow (but the green centers, not dark), then red, then terra cotta.
What about two-toned ones? Can you do those?
I really love peach colored ones too.

What about two-toned ones? Can you do those?
Nope. We get a few genetic freaks per 100,000 each year; a white with some pink in it. But, they are not stable enough to be produced. In fact, one of the colors we're getting is a freak; it comes out 50% pure white and 50% hot pink.

Now that I think of it, we get some yellow with a splash of terra in it that always stands out. Again, only one out of many thousands.

The plastic ones are best, and they can be two-toned without being labeled as "freaks."

The RED does not fit in the color scheme. It is too bright. Scarlett is a much better choice. I would certainly want the yellows and the terra cotta as choices. I use those in my flower beds to break up the seas of pinks.
But what we have to say really doesn't matter.

I have the seed catalogue right in front of me and my order sheet. I am on the verge of setting the destiny of gerber daisies in the mid Atlantic next spring and I ask for you help. Your opinion now does matter. I sure as heck wouldn't have posted all those links for entertainment sake.

Baby Pink
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Babypink (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Babypink/) like pinks normally but prefer darker pinks for gerbers
Neon Rose Dark Pink
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Neon Rose Dark Centre (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Neon+Rose+Dark+Centre/) This one is more like it! Nice!
Pink Green Center
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Pink-Green Centre (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Pink-Green+Centre/) I think this one is my favorite -- I love the white edging with the contrasting center -- would definitely buy this one in multiples!

Yellow Dark Center
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Yellow-Dark Centre (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Yellow-Dark+Centre/) thumbs-down on this, too bland
Yellow Green Center
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Yellow-Green Centre (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Yellow-Green+Centre/) This one is nice! I'd buy it and combine with the terra-cotta for display.
Scarlet Dark Center
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Scarlet-Dark Centre (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Scarlet-Dark+Centre/) Nice!
Red Dark Center
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Red-Dark Centre (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Red-Dark+Centre/) thumbs down -- too fuschia/pink, just an icky red!
Terracotta
Kieft-Pro-Seeds :: Gerbera :: Revolution F1 Terracotta (http://www.kieft-pro-seeds.com/products/Gerbera/Revolution+F1+Terracotta/) I happen to like this one, particularly paired with the yellow with green centers -- could even throw the scarlet into a display with those two -- that would look cool!

Not going to get into percents because I don't know your market -- just thought I'd share my opinions as a consumer. You know, here I was getting into my normal Fall chrysanthemum buying binge and now you come along with these gerbers to look at and now I want to go buy a bouquet of gerbers -- you're costing me money Gude!!!! Of course, after Obama gets done with me I won't have that much discretionary income left anyway. :lmao:
