The 52nd Daytona 500, and all other east coast and central region races, will start at 1pm EST. The left coast races will start at 3pm EST. The night races will start at 7:30pm EST.

Good move NASCAR.

You forgot to mention that are increasing the height of the catch fence by 8 feet at Talladega - just for Carl Edwards. I guess they was afraid he might backflip over it.

We aren't Mike Mulhern.

BTW - did you ever get your interview?

He hasn't emailed me. I'll catch him at the banquet, whenever that will be.

What would be a better good move , Would be to schedule races on Saturday so IF a rain out would happen they would race on Sunday NOT Monday . But Then they would have to schedule Nationwide on Friday night.

Not every track has lights. And it would be extremely expensive to add lights at Pocono, Indy and Talladega. Wouldn't work for TV either. ESPN already has a hard enough time making room for any NASCAR telecast, no way would they fit it in to their Saturday afternoon College Football orgy.

Best move for NASCAR would be to get rid of California, Texas, Kansas, Chicagoland, Atlanta, Michigan and Indianapolis and race at real racetracks, you know tracks that weren't built for boring open wheel racing.

I know! I was thinking of those who have to miss work or can't stick around on Monday and waste their tickets !:buddies:
