The shirts for babies at Spencer's Gifts (http://www.spencersonline.com/apparel_girls_baby-gear/page1/) make me sad. Timeless classics like "Talk ####, Get Hit" (with a set of brass knuckles on the front); "If you think I'm a #####, you should see my mom"; and then there is the "No, YOU calm the #### down"; "I Love My Daddy even though he's an #######"
And then we have the whole entire T-Shirt Hell collection (http://www.tshirthell.com/babyhell.shtml) to choose from. While some actually make me throw out a :pete:, the rest are just down right dumb but I would still never buy any of them them much less put one on my child.
The worst I have done was put my son in Social Distortion, Bob Dylan and Ramones shirts. Believe me he was a big fan of all three so it was legit.
Who actually buys these shirts besides teen parents?

I have actually seen a little 6 month old w/ a shirt that read something like "all my daddy wanted was a blow job" :eyebrow:
I thought that was a bit much.

The children of parents who thought Social Distortion, Bob Dylan and The Ramones personified everything wrong with the culture of their day.
Only pointing out that was is acceptable to you, today, was most likely not acceptable to your parents in their day, nor your parents parents in their day, so on and on.

Right, but my child's shirt didn't have ####, #### or ##### written on it..... anywhere... We're talking babies here.

They might as well tattoo "I'm a load that shoulda been swallowed" on his forehead. Jeez.
My kids wore duckies, puppies, choo-choo trains, bunnies, froggies and yodas. I think that once in a while we got them something with a wacky slogan on it, like "My Daddy <3 Me" or "Moms are 4 Hugs!" and stuff like that.
Putting the term "blow job" on or around anything that had to do with my kids would just creep me the #### out, regardless of context.
We're boring parents :bawl:

Sorry, while the ####, ####, damn etc are graphically profane to you today, its no different than mini skirts, halter tops and bikini's when your mother and grandmother were growing up.
(sorry couldnt think of something that was a big societal breakthrough for guys comparable to the mini-skirt and bikini)

Who actually buys these shirts besides teen parents?
My brother actually :pete:
The only one he got that was sorta "iffy" IMO was the "hung like a five year old" tshirt which my nephew only has on when he's home.

Oh you're all a bunch of prudes! Our son's closet is stocked with all sorts of T-shirts from Spencers. Yes people, I AM KIDDING!
Like Toxick, we dress our little angel in clothes picturing bears, frogs, dogs, trains, etc. The wildest thing he wears is a shirt that says "Daddy & I know that Mommy is always right!" and a Yankees shirt, of course. :cheesy:

And that's exactly why I wouldn't dress my son like that. My initial thought was of my Mom's/inlaw's reactions. Dad passed a year ago but he may have laughed if it wasn't too offensive. Lately, sweet elderly people seem to be flocking to my son while we're out so I wouldn't feel comfortable with them seeing offensive clothing either.

My son got a lot of shirts when he was born that said things like "Party in my crib, 2 AM" or "Party in my crib, you bring the bottle".
I don't get him anything with a lot of cursewords, mostly because I get enough dirty looks for some of the things my t-shirts say, but no reason to put my son in things that would make it much worse.

I saw a young teenage girl in the PF Safeway with a t-shirt on that said "Do I look like a give a F##k?"(spelled out of course) I tried to catch up to her in the parking lot to tell her no but lost her. Probably the best thing that could have happened.

T-Shirt Hell calmed way down since the guy got death threats. They used to have a page called "worse than hell" several years ago. The baby tee "I'm this many" used to have a kid with his middle finger sticking up.
I love T-Shirt hell.

Yea...I don't see people wearing these shirts except to parties. It's pretty tasteless to wear them in public.

We saw a kid wearing this shirt this past weekend. Thought it would be appropriate for one of my kids.
