We lost our beagle, Maggie on 10/10/09. We live off Buck Hewitt Rd in Lexington Park. She is tri-colored with a diamond shape white mark on the top of her head. She does not have a collar on. She is afraid of people so she may not come when called. She was last spotted on 10/11/09 heading towards Chancellors Run Road on Buck Hewitt. She has seizures and needs her medicine. Please call me at 301-848-2599 if you spot her. Please I need to find my girl.

I called smais and ask them to post a picture. I know Maggie and yes, she's definitely skiddish around people. If there's a siting, I'm willing to join in a search.

I think that one is a mix. I'm pretty sure Maggie's a purebred.
They have been in touch with the shelter and posted flyers in the area.

Good luck. As someone who's BF is a beagle I feel your pain. Please keep us notified and I'll keep an eye out for you. If I saw her stray I'd try to grab her anyway....

I also recommend actually going to the shelter every third day to make sure she isn't there.

Still no Maggie. Vet said that she will be ok for just a couple more days without meds but then she will start declining. FYI-There has been no sightings of her since Sunday. Thanks for everyones help.

If she had no collar, someone may have picked her up. Not sure where she could wander off to in that area without getting spotted.

Depending on my schedule I may have time to stop in tri county and take a look tomorrow. They sometimes have so many beagles it may be hard for them to tell if Maggie's one of them. If I make it to Lexington Park (not sure yet) I'll ride/search through the Buck Hewitt road area.
