Reminds me of a song:
We had some chickens, no eggs would they lay
We had some chickens, no eggs would they lay
My wife said, "honey, we're losin' money
Because our chickens, no eggs will they lay."
One day a rooster flew into the yard
And caught those chickens just a little off guard.
They're laying eggs now, just like they used to,
Ever since that rooster, flew into our yard.

My dad's chickens always took the winter off. They started laying again in the Spring.
As for those that won't ever lay, get a rooster, it'll encourage them.

Remember when we were kids, Pop used to keep the radio on for the hogs? He swore it kept them calm.

Try this if it's possible.... place a light in your coop (minimum 60 watt bulb) and increase the lenght of "daylight" to at least 14 hours. Within two weeks they should be laying.
Or tell the rooster to stop pulling out. :nono:
