It's possible that she hadn't done drugs and wasn't bulimic/anorexic in the very recent past, but if she had done this stuff previously (which I'm pretty sure she had) then her heart was probably battered/bruised/aged to the point where this could occur naturally, like in someone that's getting older.
Still sad that someone who could have had a bright future screwed up to the point where people have to speculate like this, whether she died directly due to drugs or not.

How can you be "pretty sure"? Because she's an actress? Or because she's young and pretty? I'd really like to know why you're pretty sure.
The assumptions being made about her are ridiculous at best. The people that are making these judgements, are you all just judgemental, or cynical?

ok, it's possible she was incredibly thin and some of her deranged behavior and symptoms were just weird quirks of hers and had nothing to do with drug use. You really want to believe the best in people, don't you? Or have you just never heard of her and now you're trying to bash people for our comments? Examples: Family Guy coming back to Fox, Futurama getting movies years after being off the air. It's Hollywood. Who knows what can happen and one can hope.

Yes I do want to see the best in people. But, I am not naive or stupid either. I do know who she is, but I've never heard drugs and her name in the same sentence. That's not to say she never did drugs, but until the facts are known, I think it's unfair to assume.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office says it has completed an autopsy of Brittany Murphy but will defer releasing a cause of death until after toxicology tests are complete.
I imagine it would take a while to get all of the toxicology stuff back.
So sad. Being a diabetic can cause lots of problems. I've worked with more than one person over the years who have had diabetic episodes and if you didn't know that it was a diabetic episode, you would have thought that they were drunk or high. And, yes, one of those that I worked with died quite young - late 20's, because of her diabetes, even though she kept on top of it and did everything that she could to stay healthy.

I think the biggest reason to speculate here that she died of either an eating disorder or drugs (or perhaps even a combination of both) are the reports that her husband didn’t want an autopsy. I find the entire autopsy process disgusting, cutting up a body to pieces that way. But, had my loved one died suddenly and nobody was sure why, I’d support doing an autopsy, 100%. And, I would encourage my family to do the same if I died suddenly and nobody knew why. You just never know… she could have contracted some sort of rare and/or contagious illness and if knowing this could save other people’s lives that had been in contact with her, than it is important to do. But the reports that he just said no, right off the bat, if true he actually said that, makes me think he knows more than he has let on in all of this. I never liked that creep she was married to anyway (not that I have an accurate judge of character myself because I have more than proven I don’t). But, I remember the first time I saw a picture of the two together, my first thought was yuck, she married a butt ass ugly old man and when I read more about him (thinking she must have married him for his money), I learned that many believed him to be nothing but a broke con-man. He sure has the history to support that judgment, but I guess he said all the right things. Anyway, my sister died at age 31 and the 1st cause of death was heart failure, but she had the medical documentation in her past to support what seemed like a sudden death to outsiders. She had asthma and premature developed lungs only working at 40 percent capacity. There was no real reason for our family to have an autopsy done. When you just don’t know why, I cannot imagine why anyone wouldn’t support having an autopsy done, unless you are trying to hide something.

Just Married is a movie with Murphy and Ashton Kucher(sp?).
I saw the news report on Fox when it happened and they said the same thing - like old married couples normally go within 6 months of each other. Saw a follow up on cause of death and then that was it - no more info. Then again Dennis Hopper just died and they only talked about it for 2 days max.

Then they call it an "accidental overdose"?
REALLY, how can you tell they swallowed all those pills by accident? Because they didn't leave a note, it CAN'T be suicide or intentional..
