I don't need to pack any bags, but I do need to swing by the mall to scoop up a new bathing suit. Just honk when you're out front. :dye:

I took a ride on the Millenium once and have relatives that rode on the Century. Great experience. It really depends on what you're looking for though. It's a little pricier than the "lesser" cruise lines like Carnival and Royal Caribbean, but those may be more fun. Definitely classier and higher quality than those other lines though. If I had the money and wasn't looking for more of a party than anything else (hello, Carnival) then I'd do that again.

Have you cruised on the other lines to compare or are you just spouting off?

I've cruised on Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruiselines, Celebrity, Carnival, Premier (The Big Red Boat!), and have a bunch of feedback on Norwegian and some of the others (my uncle was a cruise travel agent and they went on cruises allll the time).

Not that it would matter since she asked what the experience was with the cruise line. And there's no secret it's more expensive because of some of the services provided, unless they changed over the past few years. :coffee:

My aunt and uncle would take my two cousins on cruises multiple times a year, it was insane. They have way more cruise experience than I do. They got me cruising sometimes...loved it! I haven't been for awhile though :frown:

I kinda wish I went on a Disney cruise. I've heard those are the best.

Another comment on Celebrity cruises -- I thought I recalled them being good with kids/teens and I saw a few reviews online saying they are one of the better lines for kiddie programs. Not sure if you're looking for that though.

Norwegian is my favorite and why leave the boat? I could eat, drink and gamble to my hearts content.

I did notice the shipboard credit was $150 and not $1500.

My last 7 day cruise we had a bill of over 2K. (It was the ex...not me)

I've been on 7 Carnival trips. For me they were heaven. Plenty of things to keep one busy while at the same time plenty of down time not doing anything less eye candy, drinks and plenty of food.

That is great, I am so happy for you. It is wonderful when you can get county functions to support your under privilege kids for Christmas then not a month later you can book a cruise.

What a generous gift big B's family gave you, and I'm sure which ever cruise you take, it will be well worth it. My sister paid for 20 (or so) of my family members to go on a cruise several years ago. Everyone had a great time, and it was great having us all together on the ship. The big question is, who is going to take care of all those kids while ya'll are out soaking up the sun? :killingme

Just remember, the extra's on the ship are expensive, and that first one hundred shipboard credit will go quickly. Just with me and the two kids (I didn't drink any alcoholic beverages) my drink tab was about $200 bucks just for soda's and such. Did his parents give you enough to cover the incidentals, or are you on your own for that? Better start tucking some spare change away now :buddies:

When do you leave, and which port are you departing from?

20 :faint: Holy ####!!!! Yeah A told me the other day to watch the drinks on the ship that her bar tab the first cruise w/ CGII was $1600... so I am thinking we may stick w/ soda lol

Hopefully if we get some tax $ back we will set some aside to take w/ us on the cruise for spending. Right now we are just grateful to be getting away it has been a long time since either of us have had a vacation w/ no kids.

Since we have so many  they will be split up between family and friends. I am so excited and cant wait!!!
