okay so I ran across this great Tiger Kitten ..... you HAVE to see the picture of her ...
Found this wonderful kitten at a local feed store - wow is she sweet - am having her spayed Monday at The Humane Society, so I need to find a place for her to go afterward - adoption fee will be $50 to cover part of her vet costs. I felt an instant attraction to her - wow what a great sweet kitty.
She WILL be tested for FIV/Felv and have Rabies Vaccine. We will also Frontline her this week before she gets spayed. VERY sweet and playful and affectionate - Great prospect to be integrated into an existing cat group as she appears to be quite docile/lower ranking (hierarchy).
It feels so good to keep being able to HELP these critters. The faster I can find them homes, the more I can help :buddies: .

She's using the litter like champ now (realized that the shoe box with the towel was her bed, not the litter box as she initially thought). I think they like the BIGGER "bed?" at first lol. Maybe I should have given her a bigger shoe box?

Well so much for my kitty pattern knowledge - I was told this girl is more "tiger" than "tabby" :eyebrow: . She's a 5 month old kitten. She is very affectionate, doesn't mind being held, and I bet she'd also make a great lap cat if that's what you want.
She's negative for FIV/Felv and was spayed yesterday. She also had her Rabies vaccination. Very sweet girl for sure. A few pictures from after the surgery yesterday .....
Let's find this kitten a home.

A tiger is a tabby. There are different variations of the tabby pattern. This kitty is a mackerel tabby.

oh wow - thanks - good to know. She's not liking being cooped up in the crate, but at least this way I can be sure she gets the rest her body needs after the spay surgery. As of last night she seemed quite ready to get out and run around, but I put her back into the crate after she had a chance to stretch her legs. I won't be able to keep her contained much longer I can tell - she is ready to jump and play - bats at whatever she can reach  .

This little girl is so playful and funny to watch - talk about animal entertainment :killingme and yet she seems to be so people-oriented too. That's such a good combination as some cats don't seem to be human-connected as people sometimes want them to be.

Well this little girl is all ready for her new home. She seems well rested, and has shown no adverse issues after being spayed.
I get tempted to keep critters all the time, but in my heart I know they have to move on. I have all the full time critters I can handle already, and still have time to do volunteer work for the rescue.
Please help us find this sweet girl a great home!

Well yesterday the kitten says to me .... "I still don't have a home yet ... how come?" .... cats do TOO talk ...
I told her that she'll have her own home soon. Can anyone pass her information around to see if someone you know might be interested in a 5 month old kitten?
She's passive toward other cats, although she did hiss at the dog (he probably gave her that "I want to eat you" look lol. She likes to play as most kittens do. She's spayed, had Rabies shot, and she tested negative for FIV/Felv. She's litter trained too. Sweet girl that doesn't mind being held.

Looks like I have an offer of a home for this little girl. They have 1 other cat so she will have a companion. She certainly likes other cats, and loves to romp and play, so I'm pretty sure things will work out great for her in her new home. :yahoo:
