Please don't bring your dogs...........they (not yours in particular) made such a mess last year. They pooped all over the street and it was really gross!

So when you see that kindly ask them to pick it up. If they are not there to ask, then pick it up yourself.

I am a good pet owner. Always carry and use doggie bags. I think that is just nasty when you are too lazy to clean up after your dogs. Have alot of this problem when camping.

Ain't no way in hell I'm picking up dog poop! It's the owners responsibility to pick up their dogs crap, and if they can't seem to handle that task, they shouldn't bring the dog.
And tazzman.........thank you!!!

my husband actually approached a lady once at a campground who let her dog go poop (in a busy area) and she was walking away. Hubby grabbed one of our poop bags and handed it to the lady. Her eyes bugged out of her head, but she picked up the mess.

Yeah I still have it. I have been working out at home. It is just easier for me. I have the treadmill and everything there. Our evenings are always so busy we don't have time to go to the gym. I can only make it in the morning or early afternoon.
I was thinking about starting to go over there at lunch time and run a few miles. It's not like you can run down the road or sidewalks around here right now.
Yes I am all registered to go. Are you?

My shoes are brand new and specifically designed for running (Bowerman's). I wore Aasics the last few years and had more problems. Once I switched I noticed a tremendous difference.
Anyhow, I had an MRI on both my knees a few years back and I have permanent damage that will pop up unexpectedly at any time. And I'll probably have bad arthritis in my knees when I'm older. It goes with playing sports in school. :ohwell:

I have the Nike plus. LOVE IT! I realized yesterday if you have an Iphone or touch you don't need the plug in that comes with it just the chip for your shoe. I was using the plug in and yesterday I used my touch and they don't sync when you upload your runs. I had to create a new profile with my touch when it took me to nikes site.

Yes, the Nike + comes with two peices, one for your shoe and the other for your Nano. I couldn't find my peice for the nano so I was stuck using the touch. I dont' like using the touch for the same reasons.
If you dont' have Nike shoes you can get the peice to lace in your shoe and put the chip in that.
You can still listen to your music using this too.

I have Asics Cumulus and love them too. I got a little pouch for my laces. It was only about $8.00.
I use my nano as well. I know it will sync with my iPhone but I don't want to be bothered with calls while I am running so I stick with the nano.
When I first got it I was having a hard time getting it to accurately count my distance. I was on a treadmill and it had me at 1/2 mile and the Nike+ only had me at less than a 1/4 mile. Upon further inspection and messing with it I found that it was upside down in the pouch. So if you are thinking about getting one make sure you put it in the right way or it is not accurate.

I just ordered a pair of Asics Foundation 8s last night. I WAY over pronate and have fallen arches and destroyed my knees in HS and college. Have to have the maximum control type shoes to help correct that. Damn they are expensive. Hopefully these shoes will help with the knee pain and I can run again.
My oldest is a natural runner and wants to do a 5K at the BSA National Jamboree this summer. Told him that if he was serious, I would start training him. We've mapped out a 5K course in the neighborhood. Will eventually work up to a 10K course. If I am REALLY lucky, my knees won't kill me and I will lose some of this weight.

I just started running on pavement. I see its different then a treadmill. I am a beginner at this. I run a little then walk, then run. I go to Solomons Isl alot. Each time I will try to run a little further. I am enjoying it and I keep thinking of The Biggest Loser and how all of the people on there can do it. That is my motivation.
My question is, Whats a good inexpensive running shoe for a beginner like me?

How inexpensive are you looking?
What is your arch like?
I wear New Balance and LOVE them. The arch is low, which is what I need. I usually spend about 70-80 on them.
