Welcome, Dipstick is our supposedly leader, he sometimes slips a bit and either myself, huntr1 and Homedepot will post the standings after a race, your not that far behind, the standings are posted in the other thread 'What happens is Vegas."
You get 10 points for each driver you pick correctly that finishes in the top 5, if you should select the winner you get 25 points.
Im sure Dippy (our supposedly Commisoner) will chime in with any other details I may have missed.

I hope not. Kez has intentionally caused many wrecks (without getting parked or anything). ####, he caused three wrecks at Memphis last year. Not justifying what Carl did, but I've seen that coming for a long time. I knew the Cup boys wouldn't put up with Brad's asinine style much.

Hey Dippy, not looking to hard at our picks for this race, looks like you were the only person to get points this week and its only 10 points. What a bad week, bet we see people going away from the usual picks in 2 weeks.
Edwards should be black flagged for a couple of races IMO. He could have killed someone.

:yeahthat: Not so much Kez, but other drivers or even spectators. I mean, Carl was what - 131 laps down and Kez was running in the top 10? Totally uncalled for.

Carl was 100% wrong here. Carl came down on BK in the first incident. Carl had been after him on the laps prior too. You'd think these guys know that with the TV coverage, they can't get away with anything.

Not really. Kez is known for being stupid and causing accidents. I think we just all agree that the way in which he got taken out was just not called for.

Could be so, but the stunt Edwards pulled is fine with me for short tracks but way way out of line for Atlanta. Gross stupidity on the 99's part.
A bit off topic, but have any rookies ever come into the cup and not been talked about in the same vein as Kez?

Well he flipped him. You don't do crap like that in a 3200+ pound stock car at 180+ miles an hour.
I'm wondering what Mr. Rousch is thinking.
GWguy

I was watching the replay this evening. Edwards didn't just kiss Kez' bumper trying to PITT him. He drove it in, pushed his front end under Kez and plowed him with absolutely no indication of any attempt to avoid the situation. Edwards purposely drove under Kez' bumper and lifted him out of the way. The wind did the rest.
There is a big difference between a slight tap that spins you, and what Edwards did.

Probation means nothing. Mind your Ps and Qs and don't intentionally wreck someone.
This might've meant something if it was a full-season on probation.

I guess we will find out if NASCAR really meant what they said, when they decided to allow the racers to do what they want. Just keep an eye on "Flipper." Even if he takes Kez or somebody else out intentionally or not, he'll probably say he was pushed. Then it will be up to NASCAR to decide whether or not to pull his ticket for more races if not the rest of the season since he's on "probation."
Take racing OUT of the boardroom and let 'em race.....on the track.
