The last two nights at home I kept getting server time out when trying to access the forums from home but at work in the mornings it was fine.
I am home right now and was able to access the forums fine. Was something wrong or was it me? I recently put new fire wall software on my computer.

Haven't heard anyone else say anything. And believe me, when we go down we get a zillion emails telling us so.

I've been having the same problem at home too... I have to click on the link that says "click here if you are not returned to your post" or something like that. Its right after I post something. You'd think I'd know what exactly it says as I'm over 50K posts, but I dont :lmao: It says something like that though and I have to click on it... it freezes up.

I'm not having this problem at all. Is it happening at certain times, or just random?

Well its been happening in the evening (cause im home then) after I view one or two threads. Actually it hasn't happened today yet but I couldn't get back on last night at all to post an update. Or sometimes post something then all I get is time out errors, If it helps I get this error after a fairly short time and not what I would normally call a time out.
No problem here yet.

I was wondering about this myself. After I submit my post in any category, I try to go back to the list of threads but I get this: "Sorry, no more items-Please try some different items". I might be on the first page of topics and I can't get to page 2. If I click New Posts, everything is fine so it can't be timing out. Any Ideas?

It just did it again, I went back to edit a post just now and it didn't take me back... I had to click link that says to click it if I dont get sent back automatically. Not sure if that helps any.

That's a cookie issue.
I get the occasional timeout, but I get that on all sites, not just this one. I assumed it was the browser hanging up or maybe my connection.

Ok thanks. One more if I may? After posting my responses to a thread, I want to get back to the page I was reading that listed all the topics. I just keep hitting the back arrow until I get there. Is there an easier way without hitting "New posts" or not? Btw, this is what I do when I get that "Sorry, no more items" screen. Doesn't happen all the time though.

Still having issue, this is only website I have it. Its like I exceed my daily bandwidth on SOMD and it cuts me off or something.

I usually hit New Posts, scan until I find something I want to respond to or read, then back up to the new posts list to keep going through the threads.

Next to the Back/Forward buttons there should be a small down-arrow. Touch it and it will show you a short history of recent pages. Select the one you want.

Yes but some of the threads that were there before, are gone when I do that and that's why I don't do it but it looks like that's my only choice. Thanks Vrai.

I see that but they all say: "Southern Maryland Community Forums-Se". There's about 7 of them. What is this?

I could not get the site to come up most of the day today, until this evening.

This morning, about 7:15, it happened to me, too. I was using Firefox. Then, this afternoon, it was doing it about 3pm, so I switched over to I.E. and got through that way. Now - no problem at all with FF.

That's because you read them and they aren't new anymore. Try clicking on "Today's Posts" under Quick Links.

But I didn't read them all. That's what bothers me. If I'm on the first page and I read the first thread and post in it, when I go back I can't go forward to the next page sometimes to the ones I haven't read yet.
I'll try the Todays Post link. Thanks!

You know im still having this problem, after I browse the forums for 10 minutes or so per day it happens. Doesn't matter if its on Firefox or IE.
Think it has anything to do with my firewall settings?
