I really like Joey. I think he's good for the sport (even if he has the personality of a potato), and he's enormously popular. I just wish he'd stand up for himself every once in a while. I know he wants to earn respect, but you can't just let guys wreck you.

Now, I don't think Joey needs to fight back the way Carl and Kez do, but he needs to go out there and make a statement that he's not gonna take it. Whether it means wrecking Harvick next time they're side-by-side for position or it means confronting him after the race doesn't matter. He's got to do something, or the other drivers are just gonna keep pushing him around.

In 2008, in an ARCA race, another championship contender (Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.) wrecked Scott Speed in a battle for position and for the championship. Scott Speed wrecked him the very next chance he had. He blatantly put Stenhouse in the wall and said so. He said he was not going to let guys push him around, that he was making a statement and that he wasn't gonna let Stenhouse win the championship after that.

The difference between Scotty and Carl is, Scott did it on a short track (Toledo), and Scott Speed was penalized (though I think ARCA penalized him more for his "it's just ARCA" comments that his actual actions).

NASCAR's taken the policy that they wanna be more like ARCA, so Joey should have nothing to be afraid of.
