Has anyone ever heard of someone being arrested 24 separate times with multiple charges and still being allowed to walk around free? Not minor charges either, theft, possession, assault...
And what is a Motion for Appropriation of Relief? Isn't that bankruptcy or something?
Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of someone having this much luck with the legal system.

I am not that surprised. I've been living here off and on for the past few years and I tell you it is so different than out west. I really don't like the general political atmosphere and the rude people in MD but the money is good.

It is absolutely crazy. And I know someone just like that. Has 73 court cases according to casesearch. Charges from drugs, driving without a license, car accident, theft. Went to prison last summer for a few months. Has multiple court cases that they never show up for & they just re-schedule them. And yet, they walk the streets free. :(

FTA? They should have a bench warrant. Ever think about turning him/her in?

No Bench warrants + multiple arrests + failure to appear = Police informant

I would think so, but honestly if you've ever met her, she's mentally unstable. She would make a great informant though, as much illegal crap as she's into I'm sure she has the names and locations of dealers. Everyone she knows is just as screwed up as she is. I guess crazy attracts crazy.

It's probably because St. Mary's County cops are incompetent. I was robbed last year. Idiot left a full hand print, even I could see it. The two deputies took notes and then were on their way out when I asked if they might want to lift the hand print. They said, "Oh yeah, uh, I guess we should." Are you freaking kidding me?! Every idiot in the country that has ever seen CSI, NCIS, or Law and Order would know to do that. The best part, I knew exactly who had robbed me due to some special circumstances surrounding the incident. The individual in question, had no legal place of residence and the detective kept telling me that they were having a hard time finding him. So, I called a few people and within ten minutes, I knew where he lived. I gave them all the information and guess what?! They still couldn't freakin' find him! If you have an address, a copy of someone's work schedule, and a description of their vehicle, you should be able to find them relatively easily. But no, they couldn't handle it. Idiots!
So, if you're wondering how someone gets arrested 24 times and is not in jail yet. The good 'ole boys at the St. Mary's County sheriff's department are probably having a hard time finding her. Because apparently, they couldn't find their own ass, in a dark room, with both hands and a flashlight.

I can top that one, although it doesn't involve St Mary's County S/O. I work for a police department. An officer stole about $5000 from me. Went to Court and was told that the case had to be rescheduled because the Deputies could not locate the officer. Ummm...what??? They work in the same freaking building. Why not call the officer on the radio and serve him when he shows up??? I went to the Patrol Commander and basically said WTH? Needless to say, the next court date, the officer was there and not at all pleased about it.

Funny you mention not being able to find her. When she had a bench warrant issued for failure to appear, it took them two weeks to bring her in. She was at home! They have her address on file. Still don't understand why they didn't go there immediately after she didn't show up and get her. But that's the way her luck goes. She is still out walking around free, even after stealing a car last week and destroying private property. Yet another breech of her parole. I don't get it! She's crazy. Are they just going to let her stay free until she kills someone? She has already been arrested for assault twice. And she stabbed someone too. UNREAL!

Heck yeah I do. Why else would I be interested in how many times she's been arrested and walked free?
Of course I have a personal issue with her.
I don't think that changes it being wrong that she's out walking around free.
Do you?

OK, Just reading what people have posted about law enforcement in the Tri-County area, and I have to say that this one puts the icing on the cake!! A police officer, being ripped off by another who is supposed to be in a brotherhood,(at least that is how it was when my father was a PG Co. Police Officer), and the courts could not find him/her. Sounds like they put their blinders on when the officer came to work??? I feel bad for you because that is truly insulting to you as a human being but more so because your in the law enforcement field. It also shows the integrity of the law enforecement agency that you work with.

I'm a civilian and not a sworn officer so I'm not involved in any brotherhood that exist. Second he was in his 40's and I was in my early 20's and obviously VERY NAIVE!! I learned my lesson very quickly after that one!!

If you are talking St. Mary's County...and court rulings...it goes to the State's Attorney's Office. Mr. Fritz made comment that "his programs" will go away if Mattingly is elected.
1st - not 'his" programs....as example - Project Graduation is funding "through the state's attorney's office"...if you get a ticket or other charges you are offered to "pay" a "fine" as a donation to project graduation to get off (stet, nolle, pbj, etc). Kills me that Fritz has towels printed for Project Grad which says "sponsored by R Fritz SA"...please the people Sponosor it...Not FRITZ and people get off from crime for doing so.
2nd...Fritz stated in local papers -JUST RECENTLY - that his office is hard on criminals...specifically talking about DUI/DWI - please. Check case records for the number of citations/arrests v the number of actual trail/guilty/jail/sentencing.
