Found this little bugger running in the background yesterday. Did a search on it and different websites say to do different things. One said to just create another profile and delete the old one. Another said to kill the file, but when I try that it can't be done. Has anyone else had this problem?

it's a normal process. i looked that one up and got mixed reviews, but it's something that you don't need to worry about. i forget what it does but it's not harmful to your computer. unless you're trying to clear up memory space, then i'm not sure.

It is not only normal, but mandatory, and the OS will BSOD if you kill it.

That said, that name could be highjacked to hide itself and be used by a trojan. If a deep virus scan doesn't turn up anything, don't worry.

I am running Vista on a 64bit Toshiba. My CPU is pegged at 100% and not stopping even when nothing is happening. Have it at work where there is no wireless signal and she is still redlined? Any ideas? Running Advanced System Optimizer to try and clean everything up. Taking a long time when the CPU is Pegged!!

Have you run a complete virus scan?

Task manager should tell you what's pegging it out.
