No. If you purchase advertising on somd.com, then you can also advertise in the forums. The site owners are in the business of making money, not giving away free advertising.

I say that if you have worked your ass off to get your business to a point that you can afford advertising, I think it only fair that you be charged more to pay for the competition that is not big enough to pay for the same.

I'm thinking that you just might be a "new" Navy wife,so, as an old Navy wife, I'm going to throw out a few thoughts to take or leave as you wish.

You get out of a place exactly what you put into it. Come in negative and that's what you get -- come in positive and you'll find things that you like.

For better or worse, as a "Navy wife", you should realize that you will be posted places that you may not like or want to be, but, for the sake of your hubby & family, it's your job to make the best of it and try to keep the family on an even keel when hubby is deployed. If you are feeling overwhelmed or depressed, there are places on base and support systems that can help.

There are people on here who can be a source of wonderful information and support. They are, however, human beings behind those user names, and have all of the normal human emotions, including fighting back when they feel attacked.

For now, you might want to just sit back, get a cool drink of something (even if only ice water), and chill. It is spring in Southern Maryland and we're about to have some really wonderful warm weather for the next few days. Get out of the house and explore your surroundings. I'm sure you'll find a few things that you might be able to like.
