Tried lunch at the new Rustic River which is taking over the old Arizona Pizza in Leonardtown. New owners and new chef in place and we met them both.

Had a GREAT lunch and are very pleased with what we saw on the menu. Gumbo...wonderful taste, Po' Boy fried shrimp sub, GREAT, has a nice little sauce and apple coleslaw on it and it was REALLY good.

Portobeloo mushroom sandwich was great also.

Try the Cajun potato salad, not too spicey but it was REALLY good and very unique!

They have opened up the bar area, are running specials and we were really pleased with our meals and the prices.

Everyone should give it a try. Arizona Pizza is OUT, obviously so from the imprevements we saw although they do still have pizza and calzones on the new menu.

I was never a big fan of Arizona Pizza. Seemed to me not alot on their menu. I'll have to check out Rustic River. I just noticed the sign last night.

This may sound sad, but do they have hot wings on the menu? I love to try new places, but hubby lives on hot wings! If they have them, I stand a chance of getting there! I love gumbo, so it could be win/win all round!

Yes, they have hot wings on the menu as an appetizer.

Been to Rustic River three times now.:yay:

Their BBQ chicken pizza is delish!

I've been there a few times in the past year and not once had good food or great service. If I had not been there to meet with coworkers I would not have gone back after the first time.

It was merely okay. The service was fine and the food was better than Arizona Pizza, but it wouldn't be my first choice in Leonardtown.
