Sharon was one. I came in a little after it started. I think Christy has been here since it's inception. Can't remember who else. Ken King was one of the first, but he rarely posts anymore.

Somd.com was started in 1996. I came along in '98. There was a primative forum format back then. In 2000 it changed and we got avatars. The next year it was switched to this one (2001).

Ooooo. Looking at the dates, I thought the forums were started in 2001, so I was thinking it was coming up on it's 10 year anniversary. :buddies:
I guess it's actually 14 years going on 15 then.

I lurked for a long while before ever became 'kwillia' and then that only happened because I was forced to 'log on' in order to see chit chat. By then I was addicted to Jet Monkey's posts (I will forever and always picture him as a black man with a big afro wearing star shaped sun glasses, BTW) so I had to make an ID and log on. My first post happened because of RoseRed and her 'land shark' post... she still always finds a way to crack me up all these years later...

Under the original forums a brazillion years ago:
The above mentioned plus Otter was here, as was Larry Gude (he and I had just started dating at that point). Kyle was here too, and SamSpade. Plus we had a bunch of regular posters that left for one reason or another over the years, but I think several of them are back under a new name.

but a lot of it is so outdated. w/all the new tech, & that expensive commercial software, u`d think...........nm. of course a lot more non-commercial software is available also. not bootleg crap either, just ................. webmaster/designer hint :-?
& Yep, some ppl have met IRL after the internet, & some have met unknowingly in person, yep.
kinda makes me wonder what 1 July 2010 will bring. sum1 knows the significance of that particular date.
I don't know two things about running a forum or a website :shocking:
I've met a few people from the forums, I work with someone from the forums, but she has posted maybe 10 times in the past few years.
July1st? Are you comoing up for a forum get together? Or something private?

I'd love a gathering. Only been to 1......Tiggers first baby shower; LOL.That was a fun time! The best part was how we all were still convinced she was an MPD until she walked through the door!
Actually, the best part was when she showed me and MainMan the baby book she had started for her unborn child. It brought tears to our eyes...

To my knowledge, I've talked to no one IRL from these forums. I know the identity of a couple through the job, but wish I didn't - it changes everything!
