...five minutes.

Approximate time for the typical central Maryland stinging bug type insect to wake up from his nappy nappy after bashing you in the temple at 80 mph.

I swear I thought he was dead as hard as he hit me and I'd just dig him out when I got home. Right on the freaking temple.

I pulled over and stopped but quick, under control, and I have a hell of a time getting my helmet strap undone with gloves on.

I was thinking "OK, one sting and you are dead, pal! Right? Right?? Ouch!!!" Felt like two or three. Talk about being resigned to ones fate. No effing way I was dropping the bike. ####er.

See if you were wearing a half helmet he wouldn't have gotten stuck in there.

That is how it starts, the shield up and pretty soon you will be cruising around in a Yamaha t-shirt and sneakers.

Been there, done that less the tennis shoes. Been to town, short trips, several times, shorts and T shirt, but with good BOOTS on, damn it. For safety and such.

I quit wearing flip flops because they would snag on the highway pegs.

Ok, is this 'True Confessions' ??

Before I could drive, I'd take my Moto Guzzi scrambler, strap a scuba tank to my back, mask in one hand, fins in the other and ride to the beach down an old dirt back road with whup-dee-doos and moguls.......in shorts and t-shirt.

See, I always take the gear! Since I found out my pants zip up the entire leg, I pretty much wear them always. EZ in, EZ out. And the jacket is in the trunk in case it rains.

So it counts if you have the jacket with you, even if you don't have it on?

Bob not gonna take my star?

Can't speak for the Light Master.

However, if the jacket is with you, if you can still move, you can put it on before he shows up, with the clip board, after the wreck.
