my neighbor found a injured rabbit that a cat was trying to attack, the rabbit had a small chunk missing from its neck. we have called animal control and they wont be able to come out until 7 am to get the rabbit. what can we do in the meantime? the rabbit looks to be a couple weeks old.

Sorry, just saw this. If you haven't already, put the rabbit in a box in a quiet place. Obviously, be sure to put a few breathing holes in the box. If the rabbit is still active, you may want to put a towel over it as you pick it up. They can be slippery little things and can jump quite high landing with a broken back.

the rabbit made it thru the night, animal control was called again this morning, and the rabbit was taken to a local rehab place. and the rabbit was kept in a shoebox all night, tried getting up, but still couldnt
