.....process needs improvement.
Yesterday, I placed a carry-out order online. It took me about 40 minutes to get to the restaurant from where I was; but when I went to the register to pay for and pick up my order, I was told that my order wasn't noticed, and I had to wait 10 more minutes.
They were not SO busy that there was a valid excuse for my order being missed. So, what's the use of placing online orders?
Yeah, it sounds like I'm b*tching, but I'm just wondering what the process improvemnt should/would be.

But they didn't see MY sign. THAT is the problem.

Would you have preffered that they had filled your order and is sat on a shelf for 30 minutes before you got it?

 40 minutes is a long time to drive for take out! Why didn't you just drive there to eat in?

I was on my way home from work; and didn't think it would actually take 40-some-odd minutes to get there; but "235 Raceway" fixed that; but in THIS instance, everybody was flying SUBsonic.
THAT'S why it took 40 minutes; but I eventually got what I wanted, so it worked out.

It normally doesn't take 10 minutes to get an order if you simply walk in. Were they packed or something?

No, but with MY luck; had I just walked in; they would have been.
