Fuel filter?
Air filter?
Throttle body sensor? If it has one.

A '90? Due for wires/plugs/etc if you haven't already, and probably an injector cleaning if it has injectors.

Fuel pump pressure. Check to see if there is a high and low pressure one.
Good luck.
Same problem on an '88 Ford. Took forever, found it eventually.

Well, after three weeks of being jerked around and finding that where I had the car I am starting to wondering if they really really tried and yes I was told they did. But I also drew the line the other day and got the car back. Broken still having the same problems and then some other issues yet to boot Brake problems. Yes I know it sounds like I don't take care of my car But I do Tune up last year, wires plugs etc, Fuel pump crap out the year before I put that in as well, Three years before that a Transmission had some do that one plus rear brake calipers with it and now one of then are leaking. Brakes when then have needed air filter when dirty, fuel filter, when I did the fuel pump, Now supposedly they put a Crank sensor, throttle positioning sensor and a used ECM (Brain) in the car.
I drove the car to the next shop as long as you use a light foot on the gas pedal you can go up to 53 miles a hour(I have a digital speed read out) But if you have to goose it or put a load on the engine like going over the bridge it cuts out (which it did going over the bridge) Kicked in Neutral and started back up on over the hill I went THANK YOU LORD!!!!
Took it some where else for them to try to figure out what the hell is going on with this Buick already spent 500.00 on it.
:nomoney: Tech took quick assessment on the car found one loose plug wire but still not the problem . IT's like the rev limiter is screwed up or something more to come later

Interesting. Glad you found it.
But it reminds me of an old Mazda B2200 pickup I had. One day it just decided it wasn't going to idle anymore, ran fine but stalled as soon as you took your foot off the gas. After many days of troubleshooting, I found a wire on the carb rubbed bare underneath the air cleaner, shorted and blew a fuse. A bit of black tape and a new fuse was all it took.
