"A billboard created by an Iowa "tea party "group that compares President Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin is drawing sharp criticism — even from fellow tea party activists who have condemned it as offensive and a waste of money.

The North Iowa Tea Party began displaying the billboard in downtown Mason City last week. The sign shows large photographs of Obama, Nazi leader Hitler and communist leader Lenin beneath the labels “Democrat Socialism,” “National Socialism,” and “Marxist Socialism.”

Beneath the photos is the phrase, “Radical leaders prey on the fearful & naive.”

The co-founder of the roughly 200-person group said the billboard was intended to send an anti-socialist message. But Bob Johnson admitted Tuesday that the message may have gotten lost amid the images of fascist and communist leaders.

“The purpose of the billboard was to draw attention to the socialism. It seems to have been lost in the visuals,” Johnson said. “The pictures overwhelmed the message. The message is socialism.” He said he didn't know of any plans to remove the sign.

But others in the tea party movement criticized the sign.

“That's just a waste of money, time, resources and it's not going to further our cause,” said Shelby Blakely, a leaders of the Tea Party Patriots, a national group. “It's not going to help our cause. It's going to make people think that the tea party is full of a bunch of right-wing fringe people, and that's not true.”

parks and recreation
Dog walking parks
street cleaning
clean water
public sewage systems
cops
firemen
schools
etc., etc., etc.

All you want to attack are things like:
Social Security
Health care
corporate regulation
etc., etc., etc.

Why don't those so obsessed with the idea that the country is going socialist attack things our tax dollars go to like:

parks and recreation
parks and recs are open to all, and the cost is put heavier on the user due to program fees.
Dog walking parks
open to all, and the parks are starting to charge a yearly fee for a permit to use.
street cleaning
part of infrastructure that promotes health. Wouldnt be needed if the liberals stopped trashing where they live. No street sweepers in my neighborhood. Street sweepers are also paid for from property taxes.
clean water
I have well, I pay to make my water clean. I seriously would have no problem if that whole city water process were disbanded. But, once again, its paid for by the amount you use. Use more, pay more. see how that works?
public sewage systems
Paid for by usage. just like the clean water
cops
Public safety and infrastructure.
firemen

schools
Paid for with property taxes. However, I am against people without children being forced to pay school tax. you have em, you educate them. as long as we have business we will have a need for someone that feels challenged learning to sweep a floor.

All you want to attack are things like:
Social Security Those of us that actually work for a living could have done much better investing in our own retirement. I think most would agree that Social Security is a failed experiment and should be shut down. If you dont save, work till you drop or die.
Health care
I have health care, I dont really care to purchase health care for some lazy ass brood producing welfare queen. Let them die. Might seem really harsh for a few years, but sooner or later the only ones left will be those that are willing to produce.
corporate regulation
yes by all means, lets regulate business out of business. will do great for our unemployment numbers. In a free market, the strongest survive, the weakest work for others or starve.
