I know this post has been dormant for a few months but do you think they'll do another marathon of previous seasons before it starts again this fall? I really hate I can't watch them on the internet.

The first episode is on now (AMC) and will run through all episodes (2 seasons) by tomorrow night when the new (3rd) season starts.

I think they will repeat that last minute or two next week because it was pretty intense. I thought it was an excellent start but it seemed strange how last season ended and this season began... a time span has passed and we really don't know how they all reconnected.

I think it's assumed they were working on their survival skills while looking for their next "home". Andrea and Meshonne had a quick convo and it sounds like they've been trying to survive as best they can for a little while too

Andrea is going to end up bonking the Governor because she is all sucked into thinking he is a good guy. And I agree... the Governor is far more dangerous than walkers to Rick's group. Merle is clearly under the control of the Governor also so it is going to be hard on Darryl being stuck between this. The previews look pretty good for next week.

so THAT's what Glen meant when he told the convicts he needed three graves! (preview for next week) I kept trying to figure out who the third one was and then I thought maybe it would be Herschel since Glen was looking at him up by the fence.

They had four at one time... T-Dog, Oscar, (short-lived) Big Tiny (?) and the one who opened up the prison (can't remember)... I think Oscar will get some better lines and such, but I don't see him making it to season 4.

finally caught up on all the episodes. in the last 3 1/2 weeks we've watched all of season 2 and season 3 so far.

now i can actually open this thread lol

During the previews for the 2nd half of the season, when the Gov. and his cronies finally assault the prison, she is standing right next to him, gun in hand.

They showed a sneak peek of the next episode last night, and she does try to get the Gov. to let Dayrl go, but he instantly tells her to stay out of his and his henchmen drag her off.

My feeling is she's going to stay with him, by either fear or brain washing. When they raid the prison something will happen, he will have a stand off with Rick and go in to some typical diatribe about his master plan and what he has been up to all along, Andrea will hear it, and cap him just as he's about to kill Rick.

that's my .02!

I hope Carl takes out the Gov.

I was a little disappointed. Obviously, the craziness is unraveling but there seemed to be something like 25 minutes of commercials. :mad:

They may be doing the same thing they did in Season 2, quietly build up some characters before all hell breaks loose. Definitely not one of my favorite episodes of Season 3 so far, but it wasn't horrible - BUT, I could've caught it at a later date since it was a bit of a snoozer.

One of the main threads of the graphic novel is how Rick struggles to hold on to sanity...it's most likely a staple from here on out.

I don't think it's the same... when the chopper went down, Andrea and Michonne were in the area... when Rick saw the chopper he hadn't even met the Atlanta group. Maybe the Alexandria Safe Zone?

My son swears up and down that Morgan's wife was the one in the white gown (which would be what I remembered her as being dressed in) at the bar where they went in to get the picture. Carl shot her in the head.

His wife was around the house he was holed up in... he shot and killed her after she bit their son. During talking dead they do a "final goodbye" to those who were shot... this time all walkers and they showed that zombie, it was someone else.

"Face Off" was a DUD ! Rick should have shoot the Governor in the other eye . Governor would have killed Rick if he had disarmed like that Bast@rd wanted . 3 more episodes remain for the year . Michone either cuts off Governor head or Andrea kills him after sex

HD, I saw her running down the middle of the roadway, no visible weapon, passing about a billion cars, many of which would have perfectly good tire irons/lug wrenchs in the truck, and she sticks with that stupid little knife.

The Gov. is a twisted f###. Did you see all the 'tools' he has in there? On Talking Dead the dude showed bone saws, catheter, funnel to make one drink to stay alive..etc. These episodes are getting intense. Poor Andrea dumdazz...I guess Michonne will have to save her azz.

I try very hard not to nitpick at programs much, but some of the irony in the episodes is annoying, some of which you pointed out in your previous post. Also, how did he get passed all of the walkers.

The Governor said "they killed seven of my men". I thought Merle's setup for taking down the Governor was brilliant - play the music, draw a crowd of walkers, find a secure spot and start shooting once everyone ELSE started shooting.

But even if he took down the Governor, you knew he wasn't long for this world - no one would trust him. I just can't believe his fight with the Governor went so badly for him. How many people lose a fight with a weapon that can't be knocked out of your hand?

From the previews it looks like the Governer Brings down some heavy distruction on the prision. I think the Group heads back to the town with Morgan and holds up there while the Gov wastes all their ammo on an empty building....

They did say the prison would be in Season 4, now I get it.

In the comics, the Gov tears the walls down with a tank... not sure he'll have the help he needs to do that, but in the comic Andrea is alive and well still...

And the whole Rick-Michonne thing was explored a little bit, I think, in the comic.

Anyway, one good thing we can take away from the show is that the creator is not afraid to totally throw us all for a curve that are familiar with the comics. It wouldn't be any fun if we could predict exactly what was going to happen.

Still shocked at Andrea... and still shocked with the thousands of bullets flying during the prison raid that not one person (except the the Woodbury kid) bit it (after it was over)... the prison trap wasn't even very effective.

Of all the episodes this season, I'd rank it near the bottom. At least it builds a few story lines for Season 4! :yay:

I think Rick knows Carl is turning out to be one f-ed up kid (rightfully so), and wants to show him what the group used to be like, and show him there is still hope left in humanity.
