View Full Version : Okay, the cat door...

...was a bad idea.
Convenient, but unfortunately the Mighty Huntress (Gidget, that is) brings all the yard critters inside. We're talking *live* cicadas as big as my palm, terrified mice squeaking pathetically...if the door were bigger I'd probably be seeing half eaten neighbor kids on my basement floor.
She just came waltzing in with this cicada flapping in her maw that could have carried her away if it'd been thinking.
So the door is closed and Gidgie is standing by it glaring at me. Kiki Stinkertoes is indignant - "What?? I didn't do anything! Why can't *I* use the door???"
Ugh. I hate cats.

:lmao:
The last time I was there I didn't see Gidget inside once. I caught a few glimpses of the gray fluff running around outside though.:bunny:

My kitty came in the pet door after a long day outside. He was licking his chops and didn't head for the food bowl.
I want to get one of those cameras I can put on his collar so I can see what he does during the day. He never brings anything inside and I don't find any evidence in the yard. A neighbor is probably feeding him.

My mom told there cat to go kill a mouse....when they went out later to go some place there was a mouse left under the car, so that when they left they could see his kill. They weren't impressed.
This is the cat they didn't want, that just showed up one day and their cat hating pom/chi decided could move in....So they now have a cat. A cat they were told was feral and wouldn't be a good cat. He does have issues, hates the vaccum and visiting grand kids, but other then that he sleeps with them uses a box and now hunts on command.

Sounds like a GREAT cat ..... my cats run from the vacuum too - actually I don't recall ever having a cat that didn't. AND MOST critters don't like grand-kids .....
