All that's left is for all the bugs to die, THEN we have perfect riding weather.
Rode up to Leonardtown this morning and it was NICE.. couldn't get the XM to work, then I thought power down/ up see what happens. 1/4 mile from the destination I got it to work. Got to enjoy ONE song on my ride up this morning.
I need to buy a BIG thermos so I have a way to transport DD coffee on the bike, that's the ONLY thing I like about taking the truck.

PERFECT riding day..
Up and back to Leonardtown a few times, returning the last time about 10PM..
It was a little chilly in the vented jacket, but the bugs weren't bad at all. I could have done a 1000 miles in this weather EASY.. Hell, maybe I will. Putting new rubber on this coming week-end, so should be ready for a LONG ride.

It was nice this weekend. I hooked up with the Riding Club at St. Mary's Landing Saturday morning about 8:00, then headed down to my sister's place in VA. Nice and cool the whole way.
I'm really enjoying my new ride. I got Mazda's version of a Goldwing

 No, it's not. It was real easy to get squirrely Friday morning during the hurricane. :yikes:
...and that's why I still have the Subaru

Hubby & I put on 400 miles on Sun & Mon. Very nice riding weather!
Now I want loud pipes. What would ya'll recommend for my 750 Shadow?

Loud pipes just make you loud and obnoxious and piss other people off.. unless that is what you want. Don't put them on the bike with the illusion that "Loud pipes save lives" because the research points to just the opposite.
I'd suggest an F800 BMW for your Shadow.

This (http://www.aerostich.com/ear-cannon-air-horn.html) is one of the loudest pipes available for your 750 and it will provide the most safety/security

:roflmao: I must have that! It's WAY better and cheaper than pipes!

Do not be afraid to use your horn to aggressively defend you lane. Most folks are moving over on top of you because they don't see you.

Bah, it has half the rubber, and 1/20th of the buttons, and far less suspension sophistication. Bet the GWs got better climate control too:)
Upside, I dont think they make a roof for the GW, but I could be wrong.
