Time to put the liners back in, at least in my pants!!! My non mesh jacket was good this AM at 52 degrees but the pants (with shorts on under them) was a tad...refreshing.

Anyone wear a balaclava under helmet? I'm thinking that might be good to have. Or put the windshield back on.

If you had a catalytic converter you would be basking in the radiant warmth from it.

Oh and I have one but I only wear it when it hits 40 or below.

Heated grips (http://www.amotostuff.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=210019RR&Category_Code=) are an inexpensive upgrade and will increase your riding comfort

I'm going to have to do a poll for everyone to guess the over/under for how many years you ride that one.

I have worn a balaclava under my helmet, however it was for fire protection. It did warm my head up, but for me it actually functioned more so as something to soak up sweat on warm days, helping keep my helmet dry.

So, good for cold weather riding, then?

Yea. With a full face the only thing that gets cold is that thin strip in front where helmet stops and jacket starts. Adams apple area, works good for that.

I would use a bunch of brand names and model numbers like "Oh I wear a MotoJacki 200 with a R12 gortex Greek dessert and Tenobacchi windstopper 200 riding pants with velcros gathers and a Givi tour mate java container....but I dont roll that way. I have cold wether chaps, leather and 2 jackets, one for cold and one for damn cold. Oh and my necki thing that is balistic neoprene to ISO standards and an elasticity of 65 durometers......damn.

They must really pour off some heat to reach his neck and head.

They work by warming the blood in the veins which is circulated back up the neck (eventually, after warming the core). It's more of a compensation for loosing heat thru he hands rather than trying to warm the body.

Yes.
Here is one made specifically for motorcycle riding, however it is advertised for keeping your helmet dry. It will also act as an insulator for keeping your head warmer.

HJC CoolMax Balaclava :: New Enough (http://www.newenough.com/street/helmets_and_eyewear/head_wraps_helmet_liners_other_accessories/hjc/coolmax_balaclava.html)

You could make your own with a pair of tights and a pair of scissors. If you do it right you can even have a ventilated panel.
