Mickey is dirty looking with a vacuum in the background and the coloring is dull. I think if you want distraction in the image get farther back to get more in or focus on the subject meaning get closer to the Mickey Mouse or move the vacuum. Also lighting a bit low but if that was the goal cool.

I like that one. I prefer dull/muddy/muted tones and I like the contrast between the dirty Mickey/chair and vacuum in the background. I think it tells a story. Just personal preference.

Yes it is personal preference. I only provide my opinion when asked.

Mickey is dirty looking with a vacuum in the background and the coloring is dull. That was a weird buildinig. Used to be the town hall. After a new municipal building was constructed, this old one became a community center, primarily for kids. Hence why you see the game tables in other shots.

There was a hodgepodge of stuff lying around, some 50 years old, some 20 years old. I wanted to convey that sense... that stuff was left; in particular with this child's toy, now dull and unused and dirty.

So I slashed the saturation, added grain, bumped the contrast. The lighting was actually really bright and it was a nice day, but I wanted a result that was more... haunting.

Any more input? Anyone... ?

Your camera takes pretty pictures. It's one of them Smart Cameras. I take it out of the bag, it creates its own incredible compositions with perfect exposures, then I take the credit.

I did indeed find several I liked. I need to grab up my camera and get back outside. There are several old farms around here that I know are scheduled to vanish to make room for new construction. I am anxious to capture what will soon be lost forever.
