View Full Version : Is the FOP Endorsement of Fritz Harming the Cops?

You can't help but notice the prominent "Endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police" banners on top of the large Fritz campaign signs, which of course begs the question: does the FOP endorsement harm the reputation of the Saint Mary's County Sheriff's Department and the honest cops they have?
Obviously, the basis of this question rests with all of the negative publicity that Fritz has brought upon the office of State's Attorney over the course of his reign.
As citizens, and honest cops (no Newspaper Capers please) do you agree or disagree with the endorsement?
Do you feel it's harming the reputation of the Sheriff's Department?
I personally believe that it does great harm, but that's just my opinion.
What say the rest of you?

Pathetic
Without all your opinions posted up here I probably would have voted for Mattingly had he not been guilty by association. A smart person in politics doesn't allow themselves to even come close to what has happened. KNowing Fritz through some of his favor asking friends, I would have voted against him. He lets too many of his friend's friends off.

Can you stick with the questions and leave out your own personal dribble and attacks against me?

Why would it just be the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department. Maryland State Police officers are members of the Fraternal Order of Police too.

IMO, the endorsement doesn't hurt the sheriff's office nor dose it help the candidate. i believe people just don't care who the f.o.p. endorses and make up their own minds.

The reputation of both the States attorney and the St. Marys sherriffs can't be hurt any worse than what it already is...I was asked once why didnt I go into law enforcement...My response was I had a conscience...couldn't be that crooked & still slepp good at night...

That's pretty funny considering the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in the County wouldn't take one.
You know who that is, right?

Tic toc - after Nov 2 clem will fade away and fritz will be re elected and then - who knows, perhaps additional charges will be filed - the last word may not yet be written. This crap runs real deep.
