So they intercept this UAE airliner over Canada with a suspect package on board.

1. WTF did they bring it all the way to New York?
2. WTF did they allow it to taxi right up to the terminal?

WHAT? You act as if they've been told for many years to stop using kids as soldiers. This is a recent, spur of the moment idea by the rest of the world so these countries needed time to decide whether to comply and then stop.
