A little black dog has been running across Willows Road, in and out of the woods between the Montessori school and the housing developments. I haven't been able to get close enough to see if it is a puppy or just a smaller breed. It has been out there for nearly a week, I think.

Is anyone missing a black dog? Any ideas on how to gain its trust before it gets hit by a car?

I think you are right about it being a Lab puppy.. I saw this morning on the way to grocery store and it was walking right on the road in front Abberly Crest, going north toward the Park.

The dog was finally caught by animal control on Thursday..they were able to set a trap and catch him. They will keep him for 6 days to wait for anyone to claim him and then who knows...I contacted SMAWL but they don't have the resources to place him with a foster family. Animal control said he was a nice dog just scared.
