"Bubba" Scriber was serving time for a drug conviction last year. He had been a suspect in a cold case murder that was 30 years old. An under cover officer was placed in Bubba's cell with him. The officer befriended Bubba, and during a conversation Bubba admitted to committing the murder.
Because the Murder was 30 years old the States Attorney offered Bubba a plea deal to let Bubba admit to a manslaughter charge instead of trying him for murder with nothing more than his confession. Bubba called the public defenders office and asked John Getz to meet with him about the plea bargain deal. When the false charges place against his opponent John Mattingly started to unravel Richard Fritz, and his Asst. Daniel White offered to bury all charges concerning the murder that Bubba had confessed to if he would lie for them and make a statement saying that he witnessed Mattingly, and his partner planning the witness bribery in the Terry Clarke case.
At a hearing in May 2010 Clarke Ahlers (Mattingly's attorney) asked that Bubba Scribers case file be released to them for review so they could see what charges Bubba had avoided when he agreed to lie about Mattingly.
The States Attorney got an injunction against the release of Scribers file
and it's contents have probably been changed so that they don't indicate any signs of the murder confession, or the deal that was on the table for a manslaughter conviction to avoid a risky trial.
The 30 year old murder will never be cleared from the books, and the drug dealer who confessed to committing it is walking the streets of Saint Mary's County as I write this. All of this is the result of the length a depraved man like Richard Fritz was willing to go to in order to corruptly defame his political opponent John mattingly

One thing that doesn't get lost on me in all this drivel is that Bubba hung around with and worked for Daniel Brown and John Mattingly. Just one more scumbag associated with Ken and the boys.

How would you know? What's your proof?
It is my understanding they used work release employees to clean up properties and this is how Bubba witnessed John and Dan exchanging a 'bag o cash'.
Why the State's Attorney's office is upset that they didn't win the trial when all of their witnesses were criminals who were given 'get out of jail cards' to testify against mattingly amazes me and it is just MORE PROOF that the charges against mattingly were POLITCALLY MOTIVATED and FAKE.
That my friend is an abuse of power and reason enough to THROW FRITZ OUT TOMORROW!
So one side of the story according to a public defender is: Bubba murdered this 18 year old and confessed to an undercover cop. Fritz made a deal with bubba to make the murder charges disappear if Bubba would testify against mattingly.
And they wonder why the jury found mattingly innocent.

Bubba and Mike Haynes!! A druggie and a rapist worked for Mattingly and Brown while on work release. The sex offender died while living with Brown of an over dose. Mattingly has ruined his chances by hanging out with scum. Now how is Ken gonna spin this?

No. Did you cut a deal with Brown, Weiskopf, Mr. and Mrs. James, Ken, Young, and your cousin?

I have no idea what you are talking about and it doesn't even make sense.
How could a bankrupt lawyer cut a deal with anyone? John had no power to cut any deals. The only thing on his side was the truth.
Face it justice matters, you guys are in deep do-do.
