Has anyone eaten there before? Good? Just Ok? How is it price wise?
We will be seeing Carbon Leaf play there in December and wanted to dinner first and thought we might as well try the them out.

It's ok. Along the lines as The Ruddy Duck price wise maybe a little more.

I agree with Baja, it is ok.
I do enjoy the bar and their crab dip is good.
I would go somewhere else in that area if you are looking for a good meal before the show.

Agreed, the brews are good but the food is just ok.

When the weather is nice, the outdoor beer garden in really enjoyable. They have some very interesting menu items, but they always seem to lack something. Been quite awhile since I've been there tho.

Bummer! I looked at the menu and thought the place had a lot of potential :frown:
Any other suggestions for places to eat in that area? I am not familiar at all.

Not sure what you're looking for... There's a Ruth Chris, the Chart House (pricey, but good), Buddy's Crabs downtown, and I know there are some 'upscale' places as you walk uphill from the docks to the Capitol building.
One of my favorite stops is Chick and Ruth's Deli. Cramped, close, but but just full of character and real Philly/Chicago-style deli food. They even have rooms for rent upstairs.
Short of that, just Google restaurants in Annapolis. Tons of ideas.

Are any of them walking distance to The Rams Head? I only go to Annapolis to hit the mall so I am clueless otherwise

You'd need transportation to get to Ruth Chris or the Chart House. The others are short hike from the Ram's Head toward the water.

Just yesterday in fact..the one in Stevensville on Kent Island. It was 'fine'. Food was OK..service was good..beer is good.
Its one of those "I won't rave about it and recommend everyone drive an hour to go there" kind of places...and is also the place I routinely stop at when I'm over there servicing yachts. If that makes any sense.

Makes perfect sense. I think we will try it out. We will get free parking and a % off our tab since we are seeing a show there that evening. If its not good we wont go back.
Thanks everyone :flowers:

McGarveys down on the docks has the best steamed mussels I've ever had, and I get them anywhere that offers them.

I like a place called Pussers. It is down by the water. I know, the name sounds awful.

Luna Blue is good.
A Fado's is right down the road too.

Oh Yeah! I forgot about those. They do make a great beer battered fish taco.
I think she is talking about the Rams Head in Annapolis.
Try, On The Border's fish taco too. They too are very good.

The closest On The Border is in Bowie.
It is their Dos XX beer battered taco's that are so good.

Rams Head at BWI had a good beer selection and their cream of crab is REAL good.
Not as salty as Lenny's but still pretty damn good!

Well... its not within walking distance of Rams Head, but I will suggest a restaurant. Brio Tuscan Grill. Its on the southbound side of Rt. 2 just by the Target (right next to PF Changs). Valet parking if needed for like $2. Amazing food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. A little pricey but so totally worth it. And about a 5 minute drive from Downtown Naptown.
I've eaten there numerous times and have tried a bunch of different things on the menu... none of which have I even been slightly disappointed with :yay: And their portions are HUGE. A salad will honestly fill you up. The crab and shrinp cakes are small, though. Especially for SoMD standards
BRIO Dinner Menu (http://www.brioitalian.com/dinner.html) The Bruschetta Quattro appetizer is AMAZING! And easily big enough for two.
I've eaten at a few places Downtown; Ruth's Chris, Chick and Ruths (great place), and a few other places. None of which compare to Brio IMO.
Just my $.02. Have fun at the concert! :howdy:
