The republicans would of won the state house if they ran a Loller FOR GOVERNOR Ehrlich FOR LT GOVERNOR ticket. But they screw that up. They just don't know how to CHOOSE the right winning ticket.:killingme

Raven, it's a little early to be drinking.

That all depends on if you are starting, or if you are continuing from the night/day/week before.

Being an eternal optimist, I see two positive potential outcomes:

1. Lance is, as I've suspected all along, from an alien planet. Positive why?: If that's all they got to send out as space rangers, we have nothing to worry about.

2. Or. We are visited by superior alien beings and Lance is the first human they encounter. Positive why?: The visiting aliens will quickly conclude there is nothing to be gotten here except perhaps some really ugly gene contamination..and they quickly depart.

What you don't think Loller would make a good governor?I would support him for whatever position he chose. He chose the office of representative, not governor.

As opposed to you, for example. I would not support you to be a rocket scientist, mathematician or dog walker because you are an idiot. You are more geared to be the person to clean up after the rocket scientist, mathematician... or, probably best, the dog walker. :yay:

Maryland republicans DID drop the ball. Ehrlich ran a lack luster campaign with no real solutions, as did O'Malley. If the MDGOP hopes to EVER have an R in the gov's mansion then they need to come up with a viable candidate that can campaign with real solutions.
Then again the entitlement and lib crowd in our most populous counties need to go see the wizard and get a brain.

Wouldn't matter what kind of campaign O'Malley ran, he already knew he had it won with the Northern counties. And in the Dem controlled state of Maryland, that's all that counts. I've been in Maryland a long time and I have come to the conclusion that if I want to see less taxes, my tax dollars not thrown away on BS liberal crap, i.e. Casa de Maryland, see good government, etc., I will have to move to another state.

I completely agree with you. I've lived here my entire life (I'm 52) and watched the changes occur that led us to where we are now. The changes are simply irreversible; what were once open rolling farm lands in much more sparsely-populated Montgomery, Howard, Carroll, etc counties are now nothing but huge housing developments populated in the majority by flaming liberals. Nothing could possibly reverse that demographic...its permanent.

My folks and our neighboring farmers saw the hand writing on the wall when it was revealed that a developer had been sneakily buying up a lot of farms along the route 29 corridor in the middle of Howard County..huge tracts once they were combined. That sneak attack went on to become Columbia..and was the beginning of the end for Maryland ever being anyting but an east-coast version of California that does better financially only because we get more federal jobs.
