MK picked up a dog wandering around in the road on Bud's Creek road on the Charles County side of the track. Black and white, longish hair, from the pic it looks like a border collie/shepherd mix. It does have a collar on but no tags. He drove it around to a couple houses to try to find his family with no luck. Taking it to the vet to see if it's chipped now. If anyone knows anyone in that area with a dog that fits that description please let me know!

Thanks. This is a youngish male dog. Solomon's vet is closed till 3 so MK will will run him over then. He's got him in the camper till I get home. He left notes at houses he stopped where people weren't home. Hopefully someone will call us tonight or he'll be chipped. He said he looks well taken care of just a little dirty.

Nah, the coat is black and white. The coat is the length and texture of a GSD.

Thanks cattitude :huggy:, my heart leapt for a moment, but I'm afraid she's gone to doggie heaven. I'm pretty sure she wandered off to die. There's just no way that old girl would have made it on her own.

Yay! Glad the dog was chipped; it certainly made finding the owners easier. Thanks MK for taking the time to find them :huggy:

We met his owner at Petco yesterday evening. MK felt bad taking him so far away from where he found him but couldn't just leave him wandering in the road. :yay:
That area between 301 and 235 (Bud's Creek Rd and all the connector roads) is bad for loose dogs. Just a month or so ago he found another dog wandering loose in the road. That one's kids were outside their house and he was able to get the dog back right away.
