“I don’t want it to end this way, I want to continue to serve ... It crushed me not to be on deployment, I can be on a plane tomorrow, I’d truly do that.” (T. Lakin)

Of course he feels that way. Almost all career military would rather be with the troops. I get his point - you and the other libs don't because you really don't know what self sacrifice and servitude is. You only want others to do it for you.........

But of course - take it out of context. He doesn't regret his descision, he's only stating that he would prefered not have had to make it.

Oh, I'm sure he didn't consider the consequences.

Damn the torpedos, and running pell-mell into rash decisions is the best way to achieve the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

May I say I have only admiration for your facility for obtuseness?

Of course you may. But, like all of your posts, the mere fact that you say that says nothing of the validity of the charge. In fact, coming from you, it makes it just that much less likely to be true.

However, please feel free to admire me for whatever reasons you choose. Or not. It's not physically possible for me to care any less.
