...you know, I actually feel a weight off my chest.
I have read, in numerous places over the years of various times and conflicts that in order to deal with the stress of combat and the constant fear of serious wounds or death, combat troops will sometimes consider themselves dead the moment they reach the field of battle and that that calms them, settles them and allows them to focus on the task at hand with the mindset that every minute they ain't hurt or dead is now a plus instead of another moment of dread of what might happen.
Instead of two coming years of stress trying to argue the good in everything the GOP may or may not do with the House, I now consider the House run by Obama with greater majorities than he had with Nancy. At least she fought for what she thought was right. If this is what Boehner thinks is right, then, anything, the slightest scrap to the good will now be, in my mind, a plus.
I honestly feel relieved and I suppose I should be thankful to big John for getting it over with so soon.
